City of San Marcos, CA: Input sought from residents for community parks

A community workshop will be held on Thursday, Jan. 21 from 6 to 7 pm to garner feedback from residents about two public parks being planned in the Richmar neighborhood. The workshop will take place at the First Start State Preschool, 139 Gosnell Way in San Marcos.

Conceptual plans will be presented to residents so they can give input on what type of park features they would like the City to consider. The first park site is located west of San Marcos Elementary School along San Marcos Boulevard and the second park site is located southwest of the San Marcos Post Office at the corner of Richmar Avenue and Firebird Lane.

Public input will also be taken when the Community Services Commission reviews the conceptual plans at its Wednesday, Jan. 20 and Wednesday, Feb. 17 meetings. Both meetings will be held at 6:30 pm in the City Hall Council Chamber, 1 Civic Center Drive.

For more information, please call the San Marcos Community Services Department at (760) 744-9000.
