Let it snow! Please join us for this long-standing tradition in the Town Square Park of San Elijo Hills on Friday, December 6th. Festivities run from 6:00 PM-8:30 PM with the tree lighting at 7:00 PM. This magical night will include some of these fun activities!
*Santa and Mrs. Clause will be here for pictures so make sure you are on his “nice” list! Don’t forget to bring your camera!
* A Colorful Universe will have an ornament painting station for only $5.00 per ornament. Stop by to create a one-of-a-kind decoration for your home! They also make great gifts for family.
* Holiday elves will join us to show off their artistic skills with balloons.
* Cookies, cider, and hot chocolate will be served to warm your belly!
* Delicious food trucks will be serving up a variety of specialties available for purchase.
* The SEMS choir will perform Holiday inspired music throughout the night

at their third annual Women’s Fair. The event, which will be held in the San Elijo Town Square on Elfin Forest and San Elijo Roads.

This is also the same day as our San Elijo Hills Community Garage Sale so there will be lots of additional exposure to new people in the community that day.

Share San Marcos and The San Elijo Hills Foundation are hosting a Business Expo in the Town Square in San Elijo Hills on Saturday, November 7 from 10AM to 2PM to encourage a “Buy Local” culture in our community.
Bring your family, friends and neighbors for some local fun around the square in the heart of San Elijo Hills. There will be food trucks, fun activities & a great opportunity to meet neighborhood/area businesses who bring so much to our community!
It’s FREE to attend!
If you are interested in participating in the Expo, there are two options available.
6′ x 6′ space – Ideal for your table top display. Bring your own table, chairs and display. Price $95. Click here to reserve your 6′ x 6′ space.

The San Elijo Hills Community Association is hosting a FREE showing of Paddington (rated PG) as part 2 of the summer movie series!
From the beloved novels by Michael Bond and producer David Heyman (Harry Potter), Paddington tells the story of the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear (voiced by Ben Whishaw) who travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined – until he meets the kindly Brown family who read the label around his neck that says “Please look after this bear. Thank you,” and offer him a temporary haven. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rare talking bear catches the eye of a museum taxidermist (Nicole Kidman).
Paddington will be shown on Friday, July 10th at the upper sports field (Hilltop Field) of San Elijo Park. Pre-show activities (including bounce houses, a sticky wall and more!) will begin at 6:00PM and the movie will start at sunset (around 8:00PM). Remember to bring your low-back beach chairs and blankets for lawn seating!
A few food trucks will be there, and will have a variety of food (including yummy pizza!), & refreshments for purchase. A portion of the food truck proceeds benefit the San Elijo Hills Foundation.

We hope that everyone is as excited about the new park upgrades as we are! Due to unforeseen circumstances, the project is taking longer than originally anticipated. Our new completion date as provided by our contractors is now September 1st. We understand that the delay is disappointing to our residents and we appreciate your cooperation as we continue to have this project completed in as timely of a matter as possible. We will continue to keep the community updated if there are any changes in the timeline.
Movie Under the Stars: Part 3: Friday, August 8th
The San Elijo Hills Community Association is hosting a FREE showing of The Lego Movie (rated PG) as part of our summer movie series!
“The LEGO Movie is a 3D animated film which follows lead character, Emmet, a completely ordinary LEGO mini-figure who is identified as the most “extraordinary person” and the key to saving the Lego universe. Emmet and his friends go on an epic journey to stop the evil tyrant, Lord Business.”
The movie will be shown on Friday, August 8th at the lower softball field of San Elijo Park. Pre-show activities (including bounce houses, a sticky wall and more!) will begin at 6:00PM and the movie will start at sunset (around 8:00PM). Remember to bring your low-back beach chairs and blankets for lawn seating! A few awesome food trucks (Chubby’s, Lil Miss Short Cakes & Red Oven Pizza) will be there and will have a variety of refreshments available for purchase.
Please note the following to ensure that we may continue to be allowed to use the sports fields for our events:
-No dogs are allowed on the field (with the exception of service dogs).
-All trash must be picked up and disposed of in the provided receptacles.
-There this no alcohol or glass containers permitted.
-Please do not park in the designated “Caretaker Parking” spots.

Concert in the Hills: Saturday, August 9th
The San Elijo Hills Community Association is joining with the City of San Marcos to present a free concert with “The Reflexx”, an 80’s New Wave Tribute band. The concert will be held at the lower softball field of San Elijo Park on Saturday, August 9th from 4:00PM-7:00PM.
This dance party for all ages will feature a variety of food trucks (Kona Ice, It’s a Dog’s World, New York on Rye, & Super Q) will be selling their specialties and there will be some awesome inflatables for the kids to enjoy as well!

Canvas Painting in the Park: Sunday, August 10th
Are you looking for a fun activity to do with your kids before they head back to school? Or, are you interested in learning a new artistic talent? If so, we have the perfect event for you! A Colorful Universe in conjunction with the HOA is inviting our residents to come out and enjoy a class of painting your very own canvas in the park! The 90 minute class will be held on Sunday, August 10th at 3:00PM in the Town Square. All ages and all ability levels are welcome! The cost to participate is $10.00/person.

HOA Reminders
-Please do not burn wood in outdoor fire pits or barbeques. Not only is this activity prohibited in the HOA’s Rules & Regulations, but it is also a fire danger. Please burn natural gas only.
-Please remind your children that toilet papering and egging houses is considered vandalism and is not appreciated by your neighbors.
-Several residents have expressed concerns regarding unleashed dogs on our trails and in Questhaven Park. For the safety of everyone (including other dogs), please keep your dog on a controlled leash of no more than 6 feet in length at all times when in the common area.

Join us this Saturday, August 11th, in the San Elijo Hills Town Square for some dancing, food and fun from 3-6pm. The Mighty Untouchables will perform a free concert open to everyone and will play an assortment of music, including Classic Rock, Pop, Motown, Latin, Country and more.
Food trucks will be there to provide food and beverages for purchase.
For those interested in shopping, the Therapie boutique truck will be parked in the Square offering trendy fashions and other fun retail items.
Don’t forget to bring low-back lawn chairs, blankets, sunscreen and cash for the trucks. Due to the sports fields being used in San Elijo Park, we ask that you refrain from parking in those lots. Residents are encouraged to carpool, walk or park at the San Elijo Middle School.
