Save the date – Movie in the park – Part II

The San Elijo Hills Community Association is hosting a FREE showing of Sing as part of our summer movie series!

In a city of humanoid animals, a hustling theater impresario’s attempt to save his theater with a singing competition becomes grander than he anticipates even as its finalists’ find that their lives will never be the same.

Sing will be shown on Friday, July 28th at the upper softball field of San Elijo Hills Park. Pre-show activities (including bounce houses, a sticky wall and more!) will begin at 6:00PM and the movie will start after sunset (around 8:30PM).

This year we will provide free popcorn! The San Elijo Hills Foundation will provide food trucks and will have a variety of food & refreshments for purchase.

Remember to bring your low-back beach chairs and blankets for lawn seating.

Pet Waste on the Trails

The trails in San Elijo Hills are one of our largest assets and enjoyed by all of our residents. We are finding an increase in pet waste and litter in these areas.

The Trail Guidelines and Rules include cleaning up after your pet. We kindly ask that everyone do their part and ensure that not only are pets controlled, but that all pet waste is collected and placed in the receptacles.

Let’s keep our trails beautiful!

San Elijo Hills Community Association Updates for June 2016

San Elijo Hills Entry Monument

Good afternoon!  Please see below for the most recent San Elijo Hills Community Association updates:

Entry Feature Landscape Renovation

If you have driven through our entrance in the past few weeks, you have probably noticed the various flags and drying vegetation. This was intentional and for a great reason….a fresh new look!

The Board of Directors recently approved a proposal from O’Connell Landscape to enhance the entry area by opening up visibility to the water feature and providing a diverse environment of colorful plants, ground covers, and accents.

A rendering will be available soon to homeowners who are interested in seeing the design. Stay tuned!

For more information, feel free to contact Liz McCardle at sehdirector@waltersmanagement.com or call (760) 798-9015.

Foam Party in the Town Square

Come join us in the town square park for a foam party! Dr. Bronner’s Foam truck will be coming out on June 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. for a free foam party on the last day of school! The foam is biodegradable and made simply from organic soap, water and compressed air. Take the family down for music, foam, and fun!

Community Reminders

Clear and visible address numbers are important when it comes to safety. Please check your address numbers and replace any faded or missing numbers. This is a safety concern, which could potentially delay first responders in an emergency response.
It also impacts the general aesthetics of the community and is part of the required maintenance per the Governing Documents.

Paint or stain your fences. Fences should be stained or painted to match the house trim. No red or artificial colors, please. Protect the integrity of your fence while enhancing the look of your home!
