The San Elijo 5k Run and Day of Service. Local Boy Scout Troop 609 has masterminded the San Elijo 5k Run/Walk and Day of Service as a way to raise funds for their trips and activities as well as to give back to our local San Elijo Hills community!

Race Prep Time
Between 7:30 am and 8:00 am you’ll have time to prepare for the race. Lace up your shoes, stretch out your muscles, and warm up your body. The race will being promptly at 8am.
The race will begin at 8:00 am sharp. We’ll run 3 different waves by age group, split by only 5 minutes. So, be at the starting line, ready to race at 8:00 am.
Local San Elijo Hills resident Dax Ross has just uploaded his San Elijo Hills 5K pictures. The address is http://daxross.zenfolio.com/seh and there are about 700 pictures, so there are several pictures of each runner (on the course and at the finish line). Get off the couch with a healthy start to the new year!
San Elijo Hills resident Rich Farmer started this run nearly five years ago and will remain involved as a consultant and will assist with all organization and planning efforts. “It is my pleasure to remain involved with this event and I am really looking forward to working with The Academy and taking this to the next level”. said Rich Farmer San Elijo Hills 5K Founder.
“I think what Rich has done over the last four years with this run has been great for our community and we want to see it continue. The San Elijo Hills 5K is a great fit for our organization.” said Chris Fitzsimmons Founder and Director of The Academy.
The 5th annual San Elijo Hills 5K will see some changes this time around. There will be a new and maybe more challenging course that will get participants seeing more of what makes San Elijo Hills so great! After the run is over, there will be a family event featuring many local vendors on hand, food, beverages, and plenty of fun things for the kids to do including a 100 yd kids dash.
Complete info and details will be available on this page soon including on-line registration for the race itself. The family event afterwards will be open to race participants and San Elijo Hills residents.
One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the race and event will benefit The Academy at San Elijo and both San Elijo Schools!
San Elijo Hills homeowner and entrepreneur, Rich Farmer, is hosting the 1st SEH 5K Fund Run. With your support, he hopes to make this an annual event for the community. The Fund Run will benefit the San Elijo Elementary School and the It’s All About the Kids Foundation. (itsallaboutthekids.org) Our Kids’ Dash will be run in four divisions: Ages 2 and under, ages 3-5, ages 6-9, and ages 10-13. Medals will be awarded to all Dashers. We hope to meet you there.
